Episode 9: Peyton Letcher

You can also listen to us on SPOTIFY now!

With 49 submission wins in 54 fights and an ADCC European Trials winner in 2021, Peyton Letcher is arguably the best female grappler to come out of South Africa. The 2021 MMA South African Nation Champion is one of the few names that is taking the female grappling world by storm.Accolades aside, Letcher comes from a country where grappling is on the rise and her Jiu-Jitsu journey speaks volumes of the fact that it does not matter where you come from, what matters is how much you are willing to get after it.In this episode, we talk with her about the mental side of things, the athlete's mental health, her journey, and a lot more.

To the listener,

A lot of times in podcasts, people spend a couple of minutes introducing the person, while it might serve a purpose, I think it reinforces what the listener already knows; that is the person being interviewed. Before listening to a podcast, almost all of us will read the description and hence I thought it best to start the podcast ‘raw’ without a specific introduction. This will always be the trend for us as it puts the listener right into the mix of things.

If you enjoyed listening to this, share it with your friends.
