The Light of Jesus
Acts 9. Often in the gospels, whether they realize it or not, people come to Jesus in deep need. Jesus gets to the heart of things, and offers what they need most, and he does the same with us. Our series for the semester is Encountering Jesus, a look at how Jesus addresses our deepest needs. This week, we look at Jesus' encounter with Saul, and see how His Light changes us. We, like Saul, need the Light of God to shine in our hearts. And even though Saul's conversion is very dramatic and flashy, there are several themes that we can grasp onto today that help us understand how God works. Jesus Restores our Sight

Our series for the semester is Encountering Jesus, a look at how Jesus addresses our deepest needs. This week, we look at Jesus and the man born blind, and how Jesus heals his sight. In this passage, "spiritual sight" and "physical sight" are very closely tied. We see how we are all, in a sense, born spiritually blind, and Jesus is the only remedy for this.
