<p>This, the first monthly Podcast by Rural Health and Care Wales (RHCW), consists of a number of brief of conversations held with various people involved with the delivery of health, care and wellbeing services in Wales that were attending the Royal Welsh Show that took place at Builth Wells, Powys between the 24th and 27th July 2023.</p> <p> </p> <p>Contributors to the Podcast include:</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><strong>Jack Evershed</strong>, previous Chair of RHCW and now a member of Llais, recalling how RHCW was set up and outlining his new role with Llais</li> <li><strong>Melanie Brindle</strong> from Powys County Council talking about their “grow your own” Social Worker programme</li> <li><strong>Natasha Lewis</strong> from Adferiad, outlining their mental health and addiction support services</li> <li><strong>Hannah Edwards</strong> from Diabetes Cymru explaining how they support people in rural areas that have diabetes</li> <li><strong>Professor Michael Woods</strong> from Aberystwyth University explaining a new project he is taking forward with a number of partners that will collate rural data and information and set up innovation labs, working closely with rural communities</li> <li><strong>Jill Rundle</strong> from National Federation of Women’s Institutes who explains why they are signing up men to support the “not in my name” campaign</li> <li><strong>Kay Helyar</strong> from the DPJ Foundation who outlines the work that the foundation does in supporting the farming community in terms of mental health   </li> </ul> <p><br></p>
