LISTEN TO ME PLEASE!!!
<p>"The Platform Is Bigger Than You & Me"</p> <p>Long story short, I know I hit the ground running like I always do when I am passionate about something. However, today I am 30 days sober and I am now fully understanding just how truly ahead of myself I have been over the last 2 weeks. </p> <p><br> I am going to continue building this platform; but my main focus currently is my own mental health and well-being and along my path helping one person a day. With that being said; the platform truly is bigger than you and me; I have a very unique story, a huge heart and i'm very charismatic and I have a huge support system. </p> <p>With that being said; the platform will one day be seen and heard by the world. It doesn't matter if it takes 10 years, 15 years, 30 years, etc. I want my story and how I handled it to have a positive outlook on mental illnesses and especially to promote mental health awareness in a positive manner. </p> <p>When I get back on my feet I would really like to attend school again and become a RN or even a maybe a doctor who specializes in dealing with patients who have mental illnesses. </p> <p>To my friends and family who cannot accept this; I am sorry. But like I said it's bigger than me and you; so respectfully keep your negative opinions to yourself. Much appreciated. </p>

Say YES
<p>When you hit rock bottom and people are genuinely trying to look out for you and your best interest, you should really recommend removing No from your vocabulary. Anything they suggest say yes to. You are not thinking clearly in times of sorrow or manic episodes anyways, so remove your opinion from the situation and listen to your friends and professionals. They will know what's best before you do!</p> <p>I have become a 'Yes Man' (similar to the movie with Jim Carry) and it has done wonders for me in my recovery. </p>

My 1st NA & AA Experience (Willingly)
<p>Important takeaways from my first NA/AA meeting; </p> <p>'When You don't have true Acceptance, you can't truly have or believe in the Serenity Prayer' </p> <p>I'm happy about life on a daily basis when i'm sober, I can conquer all things! I have that desire and never wanna lost it!</p> <p>I'm constantly reminded of my 'self-inflicted' problems due to attending my NA/AA meetings. </p> <p>I was solely using drugs to run and hide from my reality. </p> <p>Life is like a poker game with the lights turned off. You never know what hand you are being dealt, but mean while the dealer (God) knows exactly what cards he gave you and he is grinning as you try to figure out how to play the hand. </p> <p>It's a help everybody but yourself society. </p> <p>The lack of loneliness that I feel in these 4 walls is addicting enough. </p> <p>Don't give up until the Miracle happens. </p> <p>Alcohol is just a gateway drug. </p> <p>Change your behaviors. </p> <p>The path of sobriety is so fragile, don't let it break! Pain is meant to be felt. That is what makes us human. </p>
