<p>هناك علم يستخدم مصطلحات علم النفس بطريقة أخرى، إنه علم النفس الاجتماعي، وقد أصبح أحد أهم العلوم الإنسانية. ويعد (غوستاف لوبون ) أول من تكلم في هذا العلم بكتابه الذي بين أيدينا؛ حيث أصبح الكتاب مرجعًا مهمًا لفهم نفسيات الجماهير، وطريقة تفكيرها، والطرق التي تتأثر بها وتتحرك بناءً عليها. ولا نبالغ حين نقول إن الكتاب يُعَدّ دليلًا مرجعيّا، استخدمه الحكّام وقادة الحركات الجماهيرية لفهم نفسيات الجماهير وتوجيهها نحو الهدف الذي يريده الزعيم، وخير مثال على ذلك، الجماهير الغفيرة التي وظّفها (هتلر ) في الحرب العالمية الثانية. بل إن (لوبون ) نفسه أصبح وجهة ومزارًا لزعماء العالم، يتوجهون إليه ويتناقشون معه في محتوى كتابه. ورغم مرور ما يقارب الـ 150 عامًا على تأليف الكتاب، ما زال محافظًا على زخمه وحضوره بين أوساط المثقفين. ويقدم الكاتب إجابات واضحة للعديد من الأسئلة المثارة حول التجمعات الجماهيرية مثل: كيف تتهيج الجماهير؟ وكيف تتكون الجماعات الثورية في الأصل؟ ما الذي يصهر الجماهير نحو هدف واحد؟ أهي عقائد معينة أم الدين بشكل رئيس؟ ما دور الزعيم أو القائد في الثورات؟ والأخطر من ذلك هل الجماهير عاقلة وواعية بالطبيعة وديمقراطية أم متهيجة وثائرة؟</p>

<p>الكِتاب عبارة عن مجموعة من المقالات النارية. يوضِح الكاتب أنَّ هناك قنبلة على وشكِ الانفجار، وأنَّ الفتيل بدأ في الاشتعال، ثُم باقي المقالات يوضِح مشكلات عديدة منها: كيفية أن يَقوم حُكْم إسلامي في هذه الظروف التي نعيش فيها، ولو جاء حاكِم إسلامي عصري، وحاول أَخْذ الأمور بالتدرج والترفق؛ هل يَرضى عنه أهل الدعوة المتشددون؟ كما يوجه العناية إلى سحر الكلمات حيث يقول: لا تستهينوا بالكلمات؛ فالكلمة تَخْرُج كالطلقة لا تعود، وأكبر دليل هو أننا لم نهتم بالإعلام وكلماته. ويؤكد الدكتور (مصطفى محمود ) على أن تحرير الشعوب التي نادت بها الدول الغربية ما هي إلا لعبة وخدعة للشعوب.</p>
