He primarily recites in the Hafs ‘an Asim narration and is known for his ability to recite in various styles. His recitation is described as very clear and soothing, making it excellent for listening and learning pronunciation. Sajjad Gul has a Master’s degree in Islamic studies and studied in a highly qualified Quran institute. He holds an Ijāzah (certification) in Hafs with a short chain of transmission. He has been leading Taraweeh prayers since 1996. He is a prominent figure at the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) in the USA, where he is the pioneer of their Hifth program (launched in 2012) and currently heads the EPIC Dar-ul-Quran Hifth Program, overseeing both full-time and part-time Hifth and Nadhirah (reading) programs. He not only teaches Hifth but also instructs on Tajweed and Qira’ah, and trains other teachers to maintain high educational quality. Many of his older students have gone on to become instructors and lead Taraweeh prayers in various masajid.
