Kunsten flytter bjerge
Vi sætter fokus på landart, en kunstretning, der bryder frem i slutningen af 1960’erne og som i dag oplever en opblomstring, som en del af en ny naturorientering, som i visse tilfælde er en mere direkte økokritisk strømning i samtidskunsten. Det er værker, der som oftest er skabt i naturen og af naturens materialer og tit i så stor skala, at de ikke kan flyttes. Men hvorfor er det interessant fx at tage et stykke strand og et stykke skov og lade dem bytte plads? Det svarer Dagbladet Informations kunstredaktør, Maria Kjær Themsen, på.

Hvad bruger samtidskunsten historien til?
Vi tager tråden op fra episode 5 og diskuterer, hvordan kunsten kan være med til at forhandle fortiden. Den historiske bevidsthed fik for alvor indpas i samtidskunsten over årtusindeskiftet. Hvor man i 1990’erne var optaget af de mellemmenneskelige relationer, kom der nu et nyt fokus på de strukturer som sætter rammerne for vores omgang med hinanden, herunder de historiske forhold. Også de skjulte. Vi taler om at gå i arkivet, eller gå mere håndfast til værk og smide buster i havnen. Og det gør vi med Dagbladet Informations kunstredaktør, Maria Kjær Themsen.

Fin kunst er da noget, man laver i Europa …
Den rigtige kunst laves af en hvid mand i Europa, mens de laver smukt ’kunsthåndværk’ i de varme lande. Sådan en forestilling har gennemsyret kunsthistorien, men de seneste år har vi set et opgør.
