Three generations of Marathi people were slaughtered in one single place on one single day. This day is perceived as a proverbial black day. </p> <p>However, one must bear in mind that Marathas fought for national pride and self-esteem to protect India from invaders. Though unsuccessful. even in defeat, this war is overlaid with legends and acts as a source of inspiration for future generations.</p> <p><br></p> <p>भळभळती जखम </p> <p>कौरव-पांडव-संगर-तांडव द्वापर-कालीं होय अती,</p> <p>तसे मराठे गिलचे साचे कलींत लढले पानिपती !!</p> <p>पौष कृष्ण अष्टमी बुधवार दिनांक १४ जानेवारी १७६१.</p> <p>भारतीय इतिहासात अजरामर असलेल्या पानिपतच्या रणसंग्रामाला आज तब्बल 262 वर्षे पूर्ण झालीत. मराठी माणसाच्या तीन पिढ्या एका दिवशी एकाच ठिकाणी खच्ची पडल्या. लौकिकार्थाने काळा दिवस म्हणून या दिवसाची नोंद झाली. पानिपत होणे हा वाक्प्रचारही रुजला.</p> <p>हिंदुस्थानाच्या दौलतीसाठी मराठेशाहीने जिव्हारी करून घेतलेली ही जखम जिच्या बखरी झाल्या, दंतकथा, पोवाडे झाले. यश नाही तर नाही पण असा पराभवच मिळवायचा की, यशांपेक्षाही राष्ट्राच्या भावी पिढ्यांना राष्ट्रगौरव, स्वाभिमान नि स्फूर्ती ह्यांच्या उगमस्थानाप्रमाणे उपयोगी पडेल.</p> <p>सर्व ज्ञात-अज्ञात मराठी वीरांच्या अतुल्य शौर्याचे स्मरण ! </p> <p>पानिपत १७६१..</p> <p><br></p>

Maharaj had so firmly established the idea of Swarajya, that even though some of Shivaji Maharaj's enemies within his family, his colleagues never wavered.</p> <p>But unfortunately, in our own Maharashtra, the political leaders are doing their best to widen the rift in the society by talking about Maharaj's caste and how did he behave with other communities or religions.</p> <p>This is the tragedy of our Hindu religion and the result is slavery for almost 750 years, first by Muslims and then by the British, in our big Hindu-dominated country. We are the ones to be blamed.</p> <p><br></p> <p>शिवकल्याण राजा</p> <p>छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज हे असे महापुरुष की ज्यांचे कार्य, पराक्रम आणि विचार यांची प्रेरणा आज सुमारे ३५० वर्षे झाली तरी अजूनही ताजी आहे. महाराजांनी आपल्या सवंगड्यात स्वराज्य स्थापनेचा ध्येयवाद इतका पक्का रुजवला होता की, जरी शिवाजी महाराजांचे काही आप्तच त्यांचा विरोधात असले तरी त्यांचे सहकारी कधीही ढळले नाहीत.</p> <p>परंतु दुर्दैवाने आपल्याच महाराष्ट्रात महाराज कुठच्या समाजाचे होते आणि त्यांची इतर समाजाबद्दल अथवा धर्माबद्दल काय भावना होती यावर राजकीय नेते मंडळी हिरीरीने पुढाकार घेऊन समाजातील दुही वाढवण्याचे काम चोख करत आहेत.</p> <p>हीच तर आपल्या हिंदू धर्माची शोकांतिका आहे आणि या शोकाची परिणीती काय तर आपल्या एवढ्या मोठ्या हिंदुबहुल खंडप्राय देशावर जवळजवळ ७५० वर्षे, आधी मुसलमान आणि मग इंग्रज, यांच्या गुलामीची वेळ आली. आपणच कपाळकरंटे आहोत. </p>
