<p><strong>A national of Cameroon Dr Leopold ZEKENG, </strong>brings more 30 years of experience, successful management and leadership, unparalleled competencies, and lessons from <strong>AIDS response</strong>, <strong>Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights</strong>, <strong>Global Health Diplomacy and Development.</strong></p> <p>Before joining the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS in 2005) , he was <strong>actively involved in diverse capacities </strong>– service provider, scientist, strategist, programme manager, policy maker, programme implementer, advocate and activist – and levels (international, regional, national and sub national) of the AIDS response, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. More specifically served as Permanent Secretary of the National AIDS Council, Coordinator of the National AIDS Research Program (Ministry of Research), Director of Camdiagnostix (unit producing rapid HIV test kits), &nbsp;<strong>Head of Immunology and Haematology Laboratory at the University Teaching Hospital, Head of the Scientific Secretariat for the 1992 International Conference on HIV&amp;AIDS and STI in Africa hosted in Cameroon, Consultant and Technical Advisor for many reputable organisations (WHO, FHI360, GIZ, MSF, CDC, FDA, Abbott Laboratories, Walter Reed Foundation etc)</strong></p> <p>From January 2005 till present, he served as <strong>UNAIDS Country Director in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana,</strong> and <strong>Tanzania (present duty station) and as Deputy Regional Director</strong>, UNAIDS Regional Support Team for West &amp; Central Africa in Dakar, Senegal.</p> <p>On this episode we focus on the global response to HIV/AIDS in comparison to the response to COVID19.&nbsp;</p>

Pragya is a winner of Diverse Wisdom writing award from Hay House, was named as one of the 100 influential women in social enterprise in the UK, and one of 50 people creating change in the UK-India corridor on the High and Mighty list. A two-time TEDx speaker herself, Pragya organised the first ever TEDxWoman event in the north of the country.
