Sarah Jackson from London on a different kind of outbreak, one of joy & neighborly love
Get ready to smile and be encouraged by this fun & inspiring chat with Sarah Jackson (Church Revitalization Trust) who joins us from London to chat about what happens when people come together to care for others (hint: a different kind of outbreak, one of joy & neighborly love). "What can we do during this pandemic?" she asks. "We can show love; we can show small acts of kindness that don't cost us anything, but actually make people know that they're valued, they're seen, they're not invisible." Which they did at the encouragement of HTB Vicar Nicky Nicky Gumbel, calling their plan: Love Your Neighbor - an effort to help the most isolated and vulnerable across the U.K. during the Covid-19 crisis. They could never have imagined it would become a movement across all of the United Kingdom (and even beyond), bringing churches together with lots of love given and shared. And - as the 2020 Christmas season approached, these now connected churches added “Love Christmas”, a holiday-step-further effort delivering a million “Love Christmas” boxes to people in need across the U.K. Sarah Jackson is a curate at Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB) church and CEO of the Church Revitalisation Trust in London. She is passionate about the role we have to play in bringing hope and change to society. Find Sarah at crtrust.org

Ann Neilson - author, artist & philanthropist on purpose, gifting & giving back
Anne's story that began with a paper she wrote in 3rd grade, that hit lots of highs, lows and lots of waiting is sure to inspire you (as it did us, Brenda Teele to tears) and put wind in your sails as your travel your own journey. Hers tapped into art then back to writing which is why she joined our carpool chat - to share about her new devotional -- Angels: Devotions and Art to Encourage, Refresh, and Inspire. Stunning art and thoughtful words for 40 days. Here's a taste as Anne redeems the word busy, "I just did not want to glorify that word. So I came up with an acronym B.U.S.Y: Be Uniquely Serving Yaweh by using what is specifically yours." So beautiful. We hope this will bring a smile to your "busy" day and little lift in your step as you go about doing what you are uniquely created and gifted to do. ABOUT ANNE: As an artist, author, philanthropist, wife, and mother, Anne Neilson paints and creates her home products with both passion and purpose – giving back to others by contributing to local, national, and international charitable organizations with proceeds from her art shows, books, and products. In addition to Anne Neilson Home, she also owns Anne Neilson Fine Art, an art gallery located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Representing more than 50 talented artists from across the world, the gallery is dedicated to being a lighthouse in Charlotte and beyond, illuminating the work of emerging and established artists.
