Daniel Griller studied Maths at Trinity College Cambridge, has written maths problems for the British Maths Olympiad, Radio 4, The Guardian and The New Scientist, and is currently a maths teacher. We discuss debates in mathematics, his experiences writing olympiad problems, as well as advice and techniques to use in your own problem solving. He has published three books: A Ring of Cats and Dogs: and Other Curious Puzzles, Problem Solving in GCSE Mathematics, and Elastic Numbers: 108 Puzzles for the Serious Problem Solver. They contain some great problems, and we encourage you to buy one. This episode was cohosted with Ishaan Das.
