My spiritual awakening has revealed a lot to me about myself. I'm finally ready to move out of the energy that has been holding me back by starting with loving my authentic self. Openly owning that I’m non-monogamous and sex-positive can feel scary because our monogamous culture has created a negative narrative about people who choose not to prescribe to the normative way to love and care for others. Owning that I’m non-monogamous and sex-positive has removed the barriers blocking the creation of my love; now, I can love everything within me and extend it outward to everyone and everything. I’m proud that I chose to allow myself to love, especially since I had more barriers put in place due to how our society portrays those living with HIV.
