#36 - Im Schwarzlicht: Prof. Ursula Männle

In dieser Folge des RCDS-Podcasts steht Professorin Ursula Männle im Schwarzlicht. Sie ist stets eine Vorkämpferin gewesen. Für Frauen, für Bildungsthemen und für ihre Verbände und Wahlkreise. Als eine der ersten Stipendiaten der noch jungen Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung studierte sie in München und jobbte gleichzeitig für die Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung. Den Willen, im RCDS Verantwortung zu übernehmen, entwickelte sie auf einer Israel-Reise des Landesverbandes und setzte sich schließlich durch. Im Gespräch berichtet sie von der aufregenden Studienzeit in den 60er-Jahren und wie sie danach den Weg in die Politik fand. Dabei erzählt Prof. Männle nicht nur ausführlich und offen über die turbulenten Umstände um den Trennungsbeschluss von Wildbad-Kreuth. Als jüngstes Mitglied im CSU-Landesvorstand und entschiedene Gegnerin der Trennung von der CDU geriet sie in das politische Hintertreffen. Dies konnte Prof. Männle jedoch nicht von einer Karriere im Bundes- und Landtag bis hin zur Staatsministerin abhalten. Im Jahr 2014 übernahm sie den Vorsitz der Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung und gibt Einblicke in die Steuerungsmöglichkeiten, die ein solcher Think Tank bietet. Das knapp 90-minütige Gespräch bietet viele Gelegenheiten, über das Durchhaltevermögen und die individuelle Vernetzung innerhalb des RCDS und der Politik nachzudenken. Eine absolute Hörempfehlung für alle, die durch ihre Lust auf Politik, ihr Studium und ihr ehrenamtliches Engagement vermeintlich zwischen den Stühlen stehen.

#35 - Im Schwarzlicht: Eva Majewski

In der 35. Folge des RCDS Podcasts steht Eva Majewski im Schwarzlicht. Sie verleiht dem hochschulpolitischen Blick in diesem Podcast einen europäischen Anstrich. Eva Majewski war von 2013 bis 2015 Vorsitzende der European Democrat Students und hat zahlreiche internationale Entwicklungen wie den Euromaidan hautnah miterlebt. Daneben spricht sie über ihr Studium in an der Berliner Humboldt-Universität Ende der 2000er-Jahre und die Debatten rund um die Abschaffung der Studiengebühren. Nach ihrem Studium führte Eva Majewski mehrere Tätigkeiten im politischen Berlin aus und ihr Weg führte sie über das Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung, wo sie u.a. den Untersuchungsausschuss zu Afghanistan betreute, zum Generalkonsulat Erbil im Irak. Gleichzeitig ist sie langjährige Abgeordnete der Bezirksverordnetenversammlung Tempelhof-Schöneberg, von der sie 2023 zur Bezirksstadträtin gewählt wurde. Seitdem verantwortet sie die Liegenschaften und die Stadtentwicklung des 360.000-Einwohner-Bezirkes. Das knapp 90-minütige Gespräch bietet viele Gelegenheiten, über die internationale Entwicklung des RCDS und der Politik nachzudenken. Eine absolute Hörempfehlung für alle, die durch ihre Lust auf Politik, ihr Studium und ihr ehrenamtliches Engagement vermeintlich zwischen den Stühlen stehen.
