It was a new stop on Metro Line 11, which connected to Stockholm's northern suburbs to the city itself. It was meant to service a new development in that area. But when that development failed to materialize, construction on the train station was abandoned. The bones of Shimlinga Station remain to this day. Trains regularly fly through it at incredible speed, the structure still visible to the passengers inside. Empty, imposing concrete walls surrounding by undeveloped forest. […]
