Jeremy Nagel - Success and Being Neurodivergent

My name is Jeremy Nagel, and I'm a neurodivergent indie hacker who recently sold my startup, Smooth Messenger. During the journey of selling Smooth Messenger, I was diagnosed with ADHD (inattentive and hyperactive) + ASD Level 1. The diagnoses helped me to understand some of my personality traits and behaviours and has meant that I now spend a lot more time playing to my strengths and less time trying to "fix" parts of myself that are not actually broken, just different.   My new project is called Focus Bear, which is a habit stacking and productivity app for people with ADHD/ASD that helps you build healthy habits in the morning, crush it at work, and then shut off in the evening. I built the app to help myself with own challenges with productivity and work life balance. It's made a big difference in my life - I'm no longer working 12 hour days yet I'm still getting as much done.   The change in my approach to work has freed up time for life. I'm married and love to stay active. I've been into fitness and outdoor activities for a while now, but I struggled to prioritize exercise for a few years. However, over the last 12 months, I've been able to rebuild my exercise habits, and I now do at least an hour of exercise every day. I love running, cycling, cross-country skiing, and recently got into weight lifting, which has been a fun challenge for a skinny runner dude like myself. Pondering Life: Dr Carolyn Mack - Compatibility in Relationships

Discover the complexities of the heart in our most recent episode, 'Compatibility in Relationships.' We're delving into what makes relationships tick, delving into the science and psychology of compatibility. Our experienced experts will shed light on how to create and foster deep, durable connections, from the fundamental principles of attraction to the complicated interaction of personalities and ideals. Join us for a conversation that promises to reveal the secrets to compatibility and how it impacts our most intimate relationships, whether you're single, dating, or negotiating long-term commitment.   About me by Dr Carolyn D Mack What am I going to do now? How do I function? I remember it like it was yesterday. I had finally finished helping my last child move into his dorm room. We shared a final embrace and when I watched them walk away from me, I felt my heart explode into a million shards of glass piercing every part of me with anguish I was unaware existed. I sat in my truck on that dark night and cried my eyes out. I was not crying for my child because their new chapter was just beginning. But I was bawling like a baby for myself. I felt like everything that I had built my life story upon, had suddenly and abruptly ended. Now, there were no more connections, no one left to take care of, organize, direct, manage, or to impart wisdom. Then came the creeping fear of guilt…had I done enough to prepare them for what comes next? All the questions flooded in…and I was scared for my kid. The grief and despair of that terrifying moment came home fully when I realized that I did not have a plan for the next days, weeks, months, and years of my own life. I was so busy taking care of them that I had not planned for me. I was lost without my children to make my life.  What does a mom do in the meantime?  If any of my story resonated with you then answering the question of “What’s next?” is where I come in. I help empty nest moms experiencing feelings of loss, guilt, uselessness, and fear of change to transform, reinvent, and reinvigorate their lives.  What I know is that empty nest moms struggle with three primary obstacles when it comes to their children leaving home: Coping with the grief, fear, and feelings of uselessness because you are not needed anymore.  What to do with the abundance of time where there is no longer a need to manage or organize the lives of children. Creating a life beyond the children and embracing an adult life beyond children.  So how can I help? REINVENT Life is a customized program to address the challenges faced by empty-nest moms. No matter if you started your empty nest years ago or days ago, this program could benefit you along your path.  There are three primary components to REINVENT Life program: Embrace – Accepting a new idea of who you are in this world. Disconnecting from beliefs that no longer serve you. Engage – Discovering new interests rather than distracting from the past by doing busy stuff. Envision – creating a new life plan for what you desire from your current space. Each of these elements is how we approach the most significant difficulties that empty nest moms encounter as they navigate the end of the “Mommy” role.   Contacts Email: cdmack@taylormckiney.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dr-carolyn-d-mack-79732323/  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/team_mack_mom/?hl=en Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/carolyndmack97    Please help others by liking and sharing on your social so they also get the benefits you've enjoyed.
