This week we had the pleasure to talk about the impact of the Covid-19 in India with Bhagwan Chowdhry, Professor of Finance at the UCLA Anderson School and at the Indian School of Business, where he is also the Director of the Digital Identity Research Initiative. Bhagwan has contributed extensively to International Finance, Corporate Finance, Impact Investing, and FinTech. Bhagwan has proposed the Financial Access at Birth (FAB) initiative in which every child born in the world is given an initial deposit of $100 in an online bank account to guarantee that they have access to financial services throughout their lives.

Cochrane is the Rose-Marie and Jack Anderson Senior Fellow of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. Past president of the American Finance Association, past editor of the JPE. John has published extensively in macroeconomics and finance — mostly great papers, except for the two he co-authored with Pedro… ;-) John is an accomplished glider plane pilot and has a fantastic family!
