<p>Shockwaves: The Bali Bombings is an audio documentary series that explores the lives of people in Australia and Bali who are impacted by the Bali Bombings. This podcast shares their resilience in dealing with this trauma, and what they’ve learned from it in the past 20 years.</p> <p>The podcast opens with recollections of the night the bombs went off in The Sari Club and Paddy’s Bar. Moving through the immediate aftermath, the tireless work of the health workers in Bali and in Australia, the investigations and trial of the perpetrators, as well as how some of those who lost loved ones have forgiven the bombers, this podcast ultimately focuses on the effects of the tragedy 20 years on, and the hope and healing of those who survived.</p> <p>In this series you will hear from Erik de Haart, Simon and Norri Quayle, Dr Fiona Wood, Ayu Sila (cashier at The Sari Club), Ni Luh Erniati (Balinese widow), Putu Budiarsana (Sanglah Hospital Nurse manager) Dr Ketut Ariawati (director Medical Support Sanglah Hospital) Andy Thorp (former Australian Federal Police officer) Daniel Herri (Balinese local) and Megan Basioli – our youngest survivor, just 14 at the time.</p>
