[…] So temperatures above 40 degrees in many prepayment regions was associated with a much higher rate, in fact, a more than doubling of disconnection rates across communities where the ability to maintain thermal safety inside those homes just wasn't affordable. and homes were either self-rationing and disconnecting or disconnecting when credit expired from their homes. In many cases, people were having to go outside in those temperatures because the house had de-energised. That's going to be really dangerous this summer. Absolutely. In some cases, it was actually cooler to be outside. Many people reported because of the way these homes are built, they actually become like an oven inside when they're overcrowded conditions. […]
