Είναι τα "who?", "what?", "where?", "why?", "when?". Στα ελληνικά αυτές οι λέξεις λέγονται ερωτηματικές αντωνυμίες. Είναι οι «ποιος;», «τι;», «πού;», «γιατί;», «πότε;». Ας δούμε και δύο ακόμα, το «πώς;» και το «πόσο;». Με αυτές τις λέξεις ξεκινάμε ερωτήσεις όπου οι απαντήσεις που περιμένουμε δεν είναι ένα «ναι» ή ένα «όχι». Ας ξεκινήσουμε με το «ποιος;». Το «ποιος» κλίνεται. Έχουμε «ποιος», «ποια;», «ποιο;» και στον πληθυντικό: «ποιοι;», «ποιες;», «ποια;».
