Understanding Your Nervous System Through Scripture with Sam Willing
In this episode of Take Up Your Mat, we’re joined by Sam Willing, author of Regulate to Rise, to explore the connection between Scripture, neuroscience, and the nervous system.
Sam shares how understanding the way God designed our nervous system can help us recognize the impact of stress, hurry, and worry, while learning to abide in God’s presence and experience His peace.
We talk about moving from striving to abiding, stewarding our energy well, and caring for our whole selves as we seek to love God and others well.
Sam is also leading Holy Yoga’s 3-week Regulate to Rise Bible Study, where Scripture and practical neuroscience come together to help you understand your nervous system through the lens of God’s Word. Through teaching, reflection, prayer, meditation, and practical tools, you’ll learn to cultivate peace and live in rhythm with the One who created you.
