Unit 2 Session 4 A People Scattered

Thanks for joining us for this week’s episode of The Taking the Gospel Home Project. This week we will be reflecting a bit on Unit 2, Session 4. This week our lesson skipped forward a few chapters to Genesis 10 and 11. In the aftermath of the global flood of Noah’s day, instead of his descendants obeying God’s command to fill the earth, they instead gather together. In their common language they choose to conspire against their Creator and make a name for themselves instead of working together for his glory. This week I’m joined by 3 very special guests as we discuss what this week’s lesson teaches us about God, about us, and about sin.

Unit 2 Session 2 Sin Spreads

This week our lesson offered an overview of Genesis 4 and 5. After the entrance of sin and a glimpse at its immediate effects on God’s good creation last week in Genesis 3, this week we begin to see the comprehensive spread of sin. After the tragic story of Cain and Abel in chapter 4, in chapter 5 we see the grace of God through the lineage of life that continues, but also the devastating reality of death. I’m happy to be joined by a special guest in this episode, Liz Wilson, as we chat a bit about how parents can take the conversation home this week.
