Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms. Ongoing research supports positive clinical outcomes, showing EMDR therapy as a helpful treatment for disorders such as anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, addictions, and other distressing life experiences (Maxfield, 2019). EMDR therapy has even been superior to Prozac in trauma treatment (Van der Kolk et al., 2007). Shapiro and Forrest (2016) share that EMDR therapists in 130 countries have successfully treated millions. For more information: https://www.apa.org/topics/psychotherapy/emdr-therapy-ptsdAsk your therapist if EMDR would be helpful to you and your healing journey.

Like, Comment and SUBSCRIBE if you enjoyed this episode!Listen to us on Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/3VCvEfD...Follow us on instagram @talkyourshift

Email us at talkyourshift@gmail.com

!!JOIN THE PATREON FOR EXCLUSIVE CONTENT!! patreon.com/talkyourshift

Ep 32 Insecurity Can Drive You Mad

My GF dumped me after I told her that I needed Viagra. This week Mel and Dom discuss communication in the bedroom; how everyone is just trying to figure out what works and the enthusiasm to create a positive sexual experience. They also speak on reciprocation in relationships and how compatibility goes out the window if a partner can not address the hurt they have within themselves. Mel touches on her experience with weight loss medication and her thoughts on health and self image. Dom opens up about past experiences and how insecurity within people taint more than we know. They take a deep dive into the effects of these interactions where even the most secure person begins to feel inadequate because of someone else's negative sense of self. They also speak on the gray that exists between logic and emotion.
