Podcast Overview

I know what unfulfilling conversation in a relationship feels like. It sucks. After my first relationship, I became very passionate about being able to talk deeply with a partner. I want to help other couples continue learning and growing together through meaningful conversation. In Talks for Two, I curate interesting topics about relationships and self-development, then I create digestible episodes for couples to listen to and discuss. Learning alongside someone is a powerful way to strengthen your connection, so I provide listeners with a starting point by sharing my opinions on these topics, and I ask lots of deep questions at the end to easily kickstart a discussion. I truly hope this podcast helps you and your partner have amazing conversations. With love, Talia

taliasimone.substack.com

can you change another person?

Sometimes we wish people acted or thought differently. We wish they listened to us more, didn’t fear failure as much, or simply just shared their emotions a little more openly. Today I want to talk about trying to change people.

The questions I aim to answer are why do we try to change people? Should we try to change them? What happens when we try to change them? And how do I deal with something I don’t like?

Here’s the blog version if you and your partner prefer to read it.

I hope this episode sparks great conversation, and I’d love to hear any thoughts you have! being open-minded

We’re all told to be open-minded, but what does that mean? Here are the questions I aim to answer in this episode:

What is an open mind?

Why should I want an open mind?

What if I’ve already thought something through?

What if I still don’t agree with someone?

But I want to hear from you too. I feature interesting responses in future episodes and on my social media. I do this to show that these conversations have no end destination. Feel free to leave me your thoughts on the questions above (as well as on the additional ones I asked in the episode) in my dm’s on TikTok or Instagram. Or in my Substack comments.

If you found this episode valuable, I’d greatly appreciate it if you could rate my podcast. You can leave a rating and review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.
