The report’s central statistic, the Housing Wage, is an estimate of the hourly wage a full-time worker must earn to afford a modest rental home at HUD’s fair market rent (FMR) without spending more than 30% of his or her income on housing costs, the accepted standard of affordability. The FMR is an estimate of what a family moving today can expect to pay for a modestly priced rental home in a given area.

Onondaga Earth Corps - Syracuse, NY

https://onondagaearthcorps.org/about/

The mission of the OEC is to empower youth to be active participants in creating positive change for their communities and the environment.

Phipps Neighborhoods – New York, NY

https://www.phippsny.org/

Phipps Houses is the oldest and largest not-for-profit developer, owner, and manager of affordable housing in New York City. LEAP Charities, Inc is an Idaho affiliate of the national organization of ROC USA. Recently LEAP has developed homes out of metal shipping containers. These four-bedroom, two-bathroom homes will rent for $843 and include electricity, water, sewer, and trash.
