Friendships in your 30s when you're no longer aligned

Hi everyone!

I've been sitting on this recording from back in March 2025 and as I'm trying to show up more consistently, I'm sharing more even if it's unpolished. And I hope this episode helps anyone navigating evolving friendships.

As we move through our 30s, friendships inevitably change.

In this solo episode, I open up about navigating my 30s as someone who was single and without children while watching many of my closest, long-time friends step into new chapters of marriage, parenthood, and financial stability. I share the complicated emotions that can come with feeling left behind, misunderstood, or no longer aligned with the people you've grown up with.

Starting my own business became an unexpected catalyst for growth, revealing which friendships could evolve with me and which ones I needed to lovingly release. While there has been grief in growing apart, there has also been gratitude for every friendship that has shaped my life and helped me become who I am today.

This conversation is a reminder that not every relationship is meant to last forever...and that's okay. Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is let go rather than hold on out of habit, history, or fear.

I hope this episode encourages you to seek out the people who truly see you, celebrate your growth, align with your values, and light up your soul. Because at the end of the day, friendships and meaningful relationships are some of life's greatest gifts.

Stay connected with me between episodes:

Instagram: https://instagram.com/teatalkswithtez

TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@teatalkswithtez

YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@teatalkswithtez

Fertility, Motherhood & Everything In Between, at 41 and 36 years old

Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for tuning into this very special episode, my first ever guest episode on the podcast!!

I'll admit, this is a conversation I felt a little nervous sharing.

Fertility, motherhood, relationships, timelines, and the uncertainty that can exist around them are deeply personal topics. But I also know that some of the conversations that have helped me most in life were the ones where someone else was brave enough to share their story honestly. My hope is that this episode offers insight, solidarity, perspective, and perhaps leaves even one person feeling a little less alone.

Joining me today is my dear friend Tia, and together we explore the complexities of navigating fertility and motherhood as two women without children at 36 and 41. We discuss egg freezing, changing timelines, relationships, cultural expectations, and the evolving ways women are defining family, partnership, and fulfillment for themselves.

This is such a nuanced and layered topic, and one that many women find themselves navigating in different ways — whether you're single later than expected, unsure whether motherhood is right for you, coupled but not yet ready for children, preserving your fertility options, or planning for the next stage of your family journey.

This episode is not a prescription for what you should or shouldn't do. Rather, it's an honest conversation about our experiences, the questions we've wrestled with, and the lessons we've learned along the way.

We hope it provides reassurance that you don't need to have everything figured out in order to keep moving forward, holding onto hope, and taking agency where you can to create a life that feels intentional and aligned.

When my own life deviated from the conventional path I thought it would take, one of the things that helped me most was hearing other people's stories — seeing how they navigated uncertainty, redefined success, and rewrote the script for themselves. I hope this conversation offers some of that for you too.

Sending love and light, always.

xx Tez

Ps. The set up and process is still so new to me, so thank you for bearing with me despite the awkwardness at the beginning and the change in visuals at the end! (My phone storage ran out at the 45 minute mark...thank goodness for Tia's recording!!) I'm learning to start before I've perfected everything, because otherwise I won't be able to refine as quickly, and these conversations would just remain in my head or behind closed doors. If you've made it this far, I appreciate you so much!

Stay connected with me between episodes:

Instagram: https://instagram.com/teatalkswithtez

TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@teatalkswithtez

YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@teatalkswithtez

The pressure to be Right (and why it's exhausting)

What if the most exhausting thing you’re carrying…
is the need to prove you made the right decision?

This episode is about letting go of that pressure,
and finding peace in choices that were simply true for you at the time.

Thank you so much for being here… and for your patience with me lately 🤍

I’ve been quietly finding my rhythm again, and slowly introducing a video format alongside the podcast. It’s new, a little uncomfortable, and very much a work in progress, so I really appreciate you giving me the space and grace to evolve this in a way that feels true to me.

This episode is a really honest reflection on something I didn’t realise was driving so much of my life…
the need to be right.

The need to prove that the decisions we’ve made — especially the big, life-altering ones — were worth it.

In this episode, I talk about:

Why the question “did I get it right?” can keep us stuck

The illusion of the “better” life path, and what we don’t see behind it

The pressure to prove ourselves after making hard decisions

How ego, people-pleasing, and fear of judgment quietly shape our choices

Rebuilding self-trust after decisions that change everything

The paradox of self-awareness — and why it can sometimes paralyse us

Learning to hold both growth and self-worth at the same time

Why setting boundaries can feel so uncomfortable… but so necessary

Redefining what it means to be a “good person”

And letting go of the need to prove that your life choices were “right”

If this resonates, I’d really love to hear from you.
Your feedback genuinely means so much to me as I continue to shape this space.

And if you know someone who might need this reminder right now… send it their way 🤍

—

Stay connected with me between episodes:
Instagram: https://instagram.com/teatalkswithtez
TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@teatalkswithtez
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@teatalkswithtez
