Erik Maund had it all. A wife and kids, a mansion by the Austin Country Club golf course, and an executive position with his family’s car dealership. But in March 2020, a message from a stranger put everything at risk. Someone knew Erik had an affair with an escort, and wanted money to keep quiet. Erik didn’t pay the money, though. When Williams' boyfriend, William Landway, found out about the affair, he blackmailed Monde. But instead of paying, Monde hired some men with military expertise to murder both Holly Williams and her boyfriend. Our latest update here was in September 2024, about 10 months after the trial ended, when the judge made the stunning decision that due to a procedural mistake, Monde and his co -defendants would get a retrial.
