The 2K Tip-Off: Predicting the Success of the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Playoffs

In this episode of The 2k Tip-Off: Predicting Real NBA Playoffs, Nathan and the guys talk shop over the Western Conference semi-final contenders, The Oklahoma City Thunder, about specific stats and data that allowed them to reach the number one seed and how they were able to accomplish what they did so far. Nathan, acting as the host, brought on Arshad, who gave specific team stats that contributed to their overall team success and how they were top five in both offensive and defensive categories. Cooper went on to talk about each specific player and what they brought for the team, highlighting players such as Shai Giligeous Alexander and Chet Holmgren for the remarkable season both players had. Lastly, Dylan brought his input with the eye test, giving his analysis based solely on watching how each game was played, bringing up specific tendencies, defensive schemes, and more in each game the Thunder played in. Afterward, the group loads up NBA 2K24 and give breakdown analysis’ and play-by-play stats as the simulation runs the rest of the Season from the date, May 5th. After inspecting a whole season to its final, the boys move on to the offseason, where they work on many of the moves that needed to be made in order to have an even more successful season. Without shying away from making trades and plenty of free-agency signings, the boys simulate the next season to find the Thunder once again in the first seed of the playoffs and analyze how things would continue on from there.
