In this solo episode of The Balancing Point, I take a deep dive into melatonin and the debate around whether it should be supplemented. We look at the potential downsides, different delivery methods, foods and nutrients that may support melatonin production, and research exploring its roles in sleep, inflammation, immune function, brain health, chronic pain, and healthy aging. My goal is not to say melatonin is right for everyone, but to look at what the science actually shows.

Cell Danger Response Treatment: Where to Start
In Part 3 of my Cell Danger Response series, I begin looking at what recovery can actually involve. We explore why treatment starts with identifying and removing ongoing triggers, then supporting mitochondrial function, gut health, sleep, movement, nervous system regulation, and the body’s broader healing environment. I also explain why Cell Danger Response is not a one-size-fits-all problem—and why complex chronic illness requires context, testing, and an individualized approach.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of AI in Medicine
In this solo episode of The Balancing Point, I explore the good, the bad, and the ugly of AI in medicine. AI can be incredibly useful for finding information quickly, but information without context can create real problems. I discuss how the way you ask a question changes the answer you get, why clinical experience still matters, and how the Dunning-Kruger effect can make a little knowledge feel like expertise.
