[…] And I think to Shimano's credit, like I said, they're not promising it's going to change your life. It's a marginal gain. This is a Dura-Ace kind of Ultegra level product. The big problem is that SPD SLR cleats, in order to kind of achieve this and maintain compatibility with free bolt shoes, have no fore-aft adjustability. So Shimano has released new shoes that have increased adjustment range to kind of compensate for that. But obviously, if you don't have Shimano's new shoes or you have cycling shoes with fixed cleat bolt holes or say on specialized shoes, they have kind of rotating T-nuts that like you know, they have a forward and a rearward position, and then they assume that you use the cleat adjustment to kind of put them exactly where you want them.
