Not just a birder, but a birder up there with people like Ian Wallace and Brian Bland, those sort of legends of post-war birding. And Bill, had he never done any comedy, had he never been on the television, we'd all have heard of him and have seen him at bird fair because of his great birding status. He was loved by birders, not because of the fact he was on the television, but sort of despite it. And I know he's absolutely beloved by lots and lots of my listeners. […]
