[…] These are very famously surround Antarctica. Some of these ice shelves can extend for hundreds of miles out to sea. You can also get icebergs, which are chunks of ice that have broken off of a glacier and are now just floating around like an ice cube in the sea. man if you haven't seen a video of one of those breaking off of a glacier it's so so impressive and this is like you were saying the glacial processes really are like it's really really slow until it's not and when it's not it's extremely dramatic yeah like so many earth processes happen at a scale that really is difficult to experience as a human you know you could you could watch a river your whole life and not really notice much change in the landscape but if you watch a glacier your whole life you will get some moments of true natural drama and it's very it's very cool and extremely intimidating yes and icebergs get quite large Yeah.
