   Cougs vs Beavs Showdown

Washington State may be bringing a freshman quarterback into a hostile road environment, but Oregon State is the bigger problem—and the Belligerent Beavs crew explains why. This matchup has all the ingredients for chaos: a red-hot Beavers team, a sold-out Reser Stadium, a surging new era under Jamarcus Shepherd, and a Cougs offense that has to find answers fast.Drew Kalahar and Darrin "Cougar" Carlson are joined by Terry, JP, and Benny from the Belligerent Beavs podcast for a spirited opponent preview that goes way beyond the usual game breakdown. The Beaver side makes the case that this season has already become a turnaround story for the ages, from sold-out ticket demand to a renewed sense of belief across Beaver Nation. You'll discover:Why Oregon State fans think Jamarcus Shepherd has changed the program almost overnightHow the new entrance song, alumni buy-in, and Chad Johnson's return to campus became part of the Beavs' identity shiftWhy Brady Atkinson's poise, Jesse Legree's explosiveness, and the tight ends could stress a Washington State defenseHow Trent Bray's defense matches up with Kirby Moore's offense and why the battle in the trenches may decide everythingWhat both fan bases really think about the "rivalry" and why this annual meeting feels different from the old Pac-12 daysThe conversation also gets into the deeper stakes behind this matchup—the shared history, the realignment fallout, the long memory of both fan bases, and why this game feels less like a random conference date and more like a defining chapter in a new era of college football. If you care about Washington State, Oregon State, or the future of this rebuilt Pac-12, this is essential listening. It is sharp, funny, unfiltered, and loaded with the kind of insight you only get when both fan bases know exactly what the other has been through. #wsu #gocougs #pac12 #oregonstate

The Attendance Crisis Washington State Can’t Ignore Anymore

Washington State’s season hangs in the balance. Drew Kalahar and Darrin “Cougar” Carlson deliver a blunt breakdown of the Cougs’ loss to Arizona, the offensive struggles behind it, and whether there’s still a path to a bowl game. They unpack the game’s shift from an electric start to a frustrating second-half collapse, including protection issues, stalled drives, and the pressure that exposed the offense. They also discuss why the defense is struggling to stay fresh, the sparse crowd at Martin Stadium, and what the attendance says about the connection between the program and its fans. Then it’s on to Fresno State. The hosts preview the Bulldogs, identify the players to watch, and discuss what Washington State needs to do to turn the season around: pressure the quarterback, win the turnover battle, and make better halftime adjustments. With bowl hopes on the line, the Fresno State matchup feels like a must-win. Can the Cougs respond and get their season back on track?
