Episode 19: What Every Military Member Needs To Hear From A Former Marine

A Marine who crossed the border as a child, gave seventeen years to the Corps, and spent that time watching brothers around him get chewed up by a system with no room for weakness. Alex sits down with Paul, Ricky, and Daniel for one of the most personal episodes The Final Watch has ever recorded — a story about immigration, identity, military mental health, and a total surrender to Jesus Christ that happened on an ordinary drive home. Alex grew up crossing from Juárez to El Paso as a kid, carrying the quiet weight of feeling like his family's place in this country had to be earned. That pressure followed him straight into the Marine Corps, where he served for over fifteen years and watched firsthand how little support exists for a Marine who is struggling while still in uniform. There is help after service. While you're in it, admitting you need help can feel like a permanent stain on your record and your reputation, so men bury it, white-knuckle through deployments, and get handed back to civilian life with a duffel bag and no map for what comes next.
