We know there's a particular sequence in which it makes sense that children learn knowledge because what you're doing now depends on what you've done before. That's equally true in the other ways. subjects is just less transparently true and probably a little bit less rigid as well. But again, going back to reading comprehension, which we talked about last time, the ideal for the teacher is to be able to give a child a text where the teacher's confident that this child has most of the knowledge they need for smooth comprehension.
