Could More Doctor Who be Found? Film is Fabulous and Peter Purves
One of my most requested interviews! I talk to Sue Malden, Professor Justin Smith and John Franklin at Film Is Fabulous about their remarkable work preserving Britain’s film and television history,and the discovery of missing Doctor Who episodes.
Thanks to their efforts, thousands possibly millions of Doctor Who fans have had the opportunity to watch Episodes 1 and 3 of The Daleks’ Master Plan. There is, of course, no promise that more missing episodes will be discovered, but with Film Is Fabulous! championing the search, we can always hope.
During our conversation, I discovered some fascinating details about the story behind these recovered Doctor Who episodes that I had never heard before. We also discuss their latest news and what it could mean for the future of film and television preservation.
I took the opportunity to thank Sue and the team personally for helping to make more of my performance as Steven Taylor in Doctor Who available to the fans, and for that matter to me!
