[…] To do that, I want to take you back to a month and a half ago, to the launch of the campaigns here in Brazil. I was in Sao Paulo covering Lula's kickoff. Some of this section of the episode is based off of reporting I did at the time for The World and The Real News. It's August 16th, 2026. Tens of thousands of supporters of President Luís Ignacio Lula da Silva are packed into May 1st Stadium in Sao Paulo. Among them is Sida Maia.
