Waxed 01 - Scrawl / Smallmouth

First episode! Welcome to Waxed, discussions about and with musicians who have made some of the greatest albums ever to come out of Columbus, Ohio. For the first installment of Waxed, I talked with Marcy Mays and Sue Harshe of Scrawl, specifically about their 1990 record, Smallmouth. The conversation was held live in front an audience at Ace of Cups in Columbus in early February 2020 (which seems like five years ago, last live event for me, pre-pandemic, btw). Bear in mind this is a warts and all recording, not in a soundproof studio, so you’ll hear it all, as it happened, as if you were in the audience. The pandemic has sidetracked our lives a bit here, but we hope to do many more of these in the near future. For now. Enjoy Sue and Marcy talking about "Smallmouth" on the first episode of Waxed. Stay safe. Drop me a line with any feedback at waxedcmh@gmail.com.
