Episode #88: Live Show Hangover / Homeowners Expenses / Mike’s Failed Prank

Their first live show had four cameras, a room full of friends—and no chance to edit out the awkward pauses. Erik, Mike, and Shaun relive the nerves, the laughs, and the rush of finally taking their basement banter onstage. They also launch the new *We’re Still Cool, Right?* website, compare notes on three major appliances breaking at once, and reveal Mike’s yearlong prank: writing Shaun’s phone number in porta-potties and asking strangers to send poop pictures. All over a jelly donut drink that tastes like dessert. Bullet Points - Whether having a website is still relevant, including its value for discoverability, business credibility, and sharing information. - Launching a website featuring episode drinks, memorable quotes, dad jokes, and band-name ideas. - The experience of performing a first live show, including preparation, nerves, audience reactions, and plans to do more. - Celebrating a dog’s birthday and remembering a friend who has passed away. - Funny stories and fond memories of former football coach Mike Ditka. - The cost and frustration of replacing household appliances, including a refrigerator, oven, and air conditioner. - Appliance reliability, repair coverage, and the trade-offs between older and newer models. - A prank involving requests for photos of strangers’ bathroom visits. - Two dad jokes, including one about Switzerland’s flag. - Making the jelly donut drink with Irish cream and raspberry liqueur. Episode #87: Grape Nuts / Class Reunions / Comfort Routines

A box of Grape-Nuts showed up in Mike’s mailbox, and the guys put it to the test—deciding it tastes like “tiny rocks” and could use some serious help. Over a South Side cocktail, Erik, Mike, and Shaun gripe about political mailers, debate whether class reunions still matter when everyone’s on Facebook, and discover they all park in the same spots out of habit. Episode #86: The Things We Say The Most

An AI scan of 76 episode transcripts found the show’s most reliable verbal tic: “I will say,” said 433 times. That’s just one discovery in an episode that also includes a first New Orleans food tour (and a red beans and rice revelation), a very convincing Dutch translation of “kiss my moist account,” and Mike’s story about a pedicure that left him proudly defending his soft feet. Shaun is out this week, so Erik, Mike, and producer Logan sip a La Louisiane, debate whether humans really went to the moon, and pay tribute to the northeast-side Applebee’s. It’s the usual mix of drinks, detours, and guys catching themselves saying the same damn thing again.
