Harpy which translates to "snatcher" in Greek is a half-human and half-bird creature that were right hand thieves for Zeus. These creatures are definitely terrifying at least by the artist depiction sometimes an owl body with a woman's head. But they were not known for causing harm but rather just taking goods for the gods.

The ancient Japanese tale of Jorogumu, which translates to "woman-spider" is actually just that. The creature or ghost is a shape-shifting being going from a beautiful woman to a giant spider.

The film depicts the effects of Marijuana, the new, Mexican super drug "taking over teenagers lives" across the country. The film included racism, murder and suicide and even attempted rape, leading to "Marihuana tax act of 1937" and the criminalization of Hemp. But was this deeper? Was the economy in danger, was the government involved?
