<p>Pastor Jurrell Belonga sits down with Carl "Spark" Ball to discuss Luke 10 and all the ways the passage was transformational in his life with the Lord as well as his career choices. </p><p><br></p><p>Carl ‘Spark’ Ball, born and raised in Waukegan, Illinois, worked 14 years at NCR Corporation in sales and management before joining Gallagher Systems Group, where he became President. In 1998, he transitioned to full-time ministry, engaging in church planting with the Chicago District Evangelical Association. Spark completed church planting training and certification, and pastored Heartland Community Christian Church in Gurnee. He later became Executive Director of Love INC of Lake County in 2004, expanding church collaboration. Married to Cindy for over 37 years, they adopted two children, Buddy and Renee. Cindy went to be with the Lord in June of 2021 after 11 years of fighting cancer. Spark has attended Immanuel since 2018 and serves part-time with Nexus Church Planting and Leader Care.</p>

Starting out in MOPS then moving into Bible studies and currently attending the MOMSnext group while helping to lead women’s ministry here has been a great joy to her. If she could sit across from anyone over a good cup of coffee or tea and ask one question it would be: “What is God showing you lately?”. Getting to know people and hear how God is moving in their lives is one of her very favorite things, along with spending time with her husband, Rick, and her 4 kids.</p>
