Episode 55: The Headless Hessian of White Plains

Hey Fam! This week Wietze talks New York history and her family's connection to the oldest house in the state. During her research, she found a cool (albeit distant) connection to what is considered the first true "American" ghost story, the Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving. So sit back, relax, and get ready for a spooky history lesson! We are dropping this episode a little early to honor the memory of The Battle of White Plains, which took place on October 28th and ended on the early morning hours of November 1st with George Washington's Patriot Army retreating due to defeat.
