When this podcast feed was previously Why Do You Parent Like That? Sophie would jump on every so often and take over the feed for her guest show Parenting is Political. And, blow me down, that's what you're about to listen to!
Not just that, but Sophie is chatting with MARAMA DAVIDSON OUR KUĪNI! This episode was recorded over a year ago, but it feels like a tonic to listen to in the lead up to this election. We loved listening to this chat, and loved being able to release it at a time that some of the politicians in power are saying some really hateful, ignorant things. Let this be your reminder to vote.

Don't Fight Each Other, FIGHT THE MAN! (the 'Feminism & Motherhood' Episode)
Hej hej! Welcome back, honey bees! We talk for quite a bit about bts of social media at the beginning of this episode, so scrub through to around 20 minutes if you aren't interested.
Dr Kells Robertson puts on her Dr hat (it's a really silly one) to teach us about feminism and the main feminist theories that we need to know. She teaches us how feminism has been weaponised by women against each other and THAT'S WHAT THE MAN WANTS US TO DO!!!! Charlotte is a clever cookie, and Abbey is along for the ride.
Dr Peti Kenrick was the incredible lecturer who I took the Indigenous Research Methodologies paper with, and it is one of the best papers I have ever done in my life. If you ever get a chance to study under her, take the opportunity.
