The ones setting boundaries, breaking generational patterns, making learning a lifestyle, and raising their kids with intention—even when it feels messy or misunderstood. I’m Jamie—a mama, wellness coach, and cancer survivor—here to share what I’m learning and have the conversations I wish more moms were having. In each episode, you’ll hear either a journal-style solo from me or a raw, inspiring interview with another mom on the wellness train. We’ll talk about supporting our bodies through movement, nourishment, rest, and rhythm; regulating our nervous systems, ditching diet culture, living cyclically, raising conscious kids, and coming home to ourselves—over and over again. No shame. No shoulds. Just stories, insights, and reminders that you’re not doing this alone. Because when moms feel grounded, inspired, and wildly well—everybody benefits. 🫶

From Survival Mode to Safety: Healing the Female Nervous System with Kristy Teal

Many women are doing all the "right" things for their health—eating well, exercising, listening to podcasts, reading the books—and yet still feel overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, or disconnected from themselves.

If you've ever felt that way, this conversation is for you.

This week, I'm joined by Kristy Teal, a somatic trauma resolution practitioner who specializes in the female nervous system. Together, we explore what it means to move beyond survival mode and into greater presence, safety, and aliveness.

Kristy shares how somatic experiencing and nervous system awareness have shaped both her personal and professional journey, and why so many women feel stuck despite their best efforts. We talk about motherhood, grief, healing, nervous system regulation, and how small moments of awareness can create meaningful change over time.

One of my favorite takeaways from this conversation is the idea that we don't need to become perfectly calm or perfectly healed. Sometimes the goal is simply to become 5% more present.

In this episode, we discuss:

✨ What somatic experiencing is and how it differs from traditional approaches to healing

✨ How hormones, life stages, and motherhood impact the female nervous system

✨ Common survival patterns that keep us feeling stuck or overwhelmed

✨ The difference between suppressing emotions and learning to work with them

✨ Why repair matters more than perfection

✨ Practical tools for supporting your nervous system through touch, movement, music, awareness, and everyday moments of connection

This conversation is full of compassion, wisdom, and gentle reminders that healing doesn't have to come through pushing harder. Often, it begins by slowing down, listening to our bodies, and creating a little more safety within ourselves.

I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did. ☺️

🪷 Connect with Kristy Teal

📸 Instagram: @kristy.teal

✨ Free 60-Minute Connection Call:

https://calendly.com/khack0726/30min

Kristy offers complimentary connection calls where women can explore what's happening in their lives, better understand their nervous system, and discover supportive next steps for moving forward.

🌙 Connect with Me

📸 Instagram: Wildly Well with Jamie

🌿 Explore coaching, resources, and upcoming offerings: Wildly Well with Jamie

Recovery: 5 Ways to Restore Your Energy and Build Resilience

Over the past several months, I've had the privilege of sitting down with sleep specialists, chiropractors, herbalists, strength coaches, and nervous system experts. Every conversation has left me with pages of notes, new perspectives, and little gold nuggets of wisdom. 🤩

As I reflected on these conversations, I noticed a common thread running through nearly all of them: recovery matters.

In this solo episode, I'm bringing together some of the most practical and impactful lessons our recent guests have shared and exploring five powerful ways to support recovery, restore your energy, and build resilience.

We'll dive into:

• Sleep

• Nervous system regulation

• Movement

• Nourishment and herbs

• Listening to your body

As moms, it's easy to focus on doing more—checking off the to-do list, taking care of everyone else, and pushing through exhaustion. But what if the missing piece isn't doing more? What if it's creating the conditions that allow your body to do what it was meant to do through recovery?

My hope is that this episode leaves you feeling supported, encouraged, and equipped with a few simple tools to help you care for yourself with more intention and compassion.

Because recovery isn't a reward for getting everything done.

It's a requirement for being human.

Referenced Episodes:

Dr. Maria Guzman: Sleep & Exhaustion

Dr. Melissa Sonners: Nervous System Healing & Microdosing Wellness

Melissa Mascaro: Honoring Cycles & Seasons in Motherhood

Gray Dean: Everyday Herbalism

Tricia Little: Herbs for Fertility, Pregnancy & Postpartum

Marija Prera: Herbalism & Vedic Wisdom

Kelli Marie Frances: Real Support Through Motherhood

I'd love to hear from you!
