<p>今天来聊聊一个很实用的小话题——<strong>当你生病了或者有事情需要请假时，家长应该怎么跟学校老师沟通？</strong></p><br><p>如果你因为生病无法到校，家长通常会打电话或者发信息联系老师。表达的方法可以很简单，比如这样开始：</p><br><h3>如果是请假一天，可以这样说：</h3><br><p>“Hi，Mrs. Brown，(你的名字)今天生病了，无法来上学，希望很快能恢复，明天可能可以到学校。”</p><br><p>当然，也可以用更简洁的方式： “Hi，Mrs. Brown，我今天生病了，所以不能去上学。”</p><br><p>（顺便提一句，录这段话的时候，我鼻子堵得厉害，说话都怪怪的，感觉很应景，毕竟生病时就是这种状态嘛。）</p><br><h3>如果是因为<strong>有预约</strong>（比如看牙医、做体检）需要请假，也可以这样说：</h3><br><p>“Hi，Mrs. Brown，(你的名字)今天有个牙医预约/眼科检查，所以无法来上学。”</p><br><p>又或者： “Hi，Mrs. Brown，(你的名字)今天要做手术/看医生，所以无法到校。”</p><br><p>如果只是<strong>半天请假</strong>，需要更具体地说明时间，比如：</p><br><p>“Hi，Mrs. Brown，(你的名字)今天有个牙医预约，上午10点需要离开，预计下午2点回来继续上课。”</p><br><p>无论是哪种情况，重点就是：✅ 说明是谁请假✅ 说明请假的原因（生病/预约）✅ 如果是半天离开，要告诉老师离开和返回的时间</p><br><p>简单明了，老师一听就能明白，也方便学校安排！</p><br><p>Today I’m going to explain how your parents can call or contact your school when you're sick and can't come to class.</p><br><p>You can start with your teacher’s name.For example, if your teacher’s name is Mrs. Brown, your parent might say:<strong>"Hi Mrs. Brown, [Your Name] is sick today and won’t be able to come to school. Hopefully, he/she will feel better and be back tomorrow."</strong></p><br><p>Alternatively, it can be even simpler:<strong>"Hi Mrs. Brown, I’m sick today and can’t come to school."</strong></p><br><p>(And yes, I’m talking with a stuffed nose right now because when you’re sick, you can’t speak properly — very authentic experience!)</p><br><p>Now, what if you’re not sick, but you have an appointment and can’t be at school?</p><br><p>It’s basically the same structure.For example:<strong>"Hi Mrs. Brown, [Your Name] has an appointment with the dentist today and won’t be able to attend school."</strong></p><br><p>Or maybe:<strong>"[Your Name] has an eye check-up today and will miss school."</strong></p><br><p>It could also be for other reasons like a minor surgery, a medical check-up, or other important matters.</p><br><p>What if you’re only leaving school for part of the day?</p><br><p>In that case, your parent should mention the specific time:<strong>"Hi Mrs. Brown, [Your Name] will be leaving school at 10 AM for a dentist appointment but will return by 2 PM."</strong></p><br><p>If you’re leaving and not coming back for the rest of the day, just stick to the first part:mention you’ll be absent due to the appointment.</p>

<p>当前加拿大大选正在紧张进行，又遇到复活节假期，这为我们带来了许多话题。时光机放送相关内容，一起欢乐！</p><br><p>Today I’m going to talk about the election. I think I already told you this, but just in case I didn’t — we’re having a student election. I have a bad memory, so maybe I forgot to say it earlier.</p><br><p>Here’s how it works: each group gets assigned a political party from Ontario. We don’t actually choose — we draw names out of a hat. My group got the PC party.</p><br><p>Honestly, I don’t think PC is going to win the real election. I think Doug Ford will win.</p><br><p>So, we had to make platforms and everything. Today was a big day — the actual election day — and the tension was high, both for Doug Ford and for our group.</p><br><p>All the parties were getting really hyped. Our group started shouting stuff like “Liberals are losers!” or “NDP has to go pee!” I don’t even know who came up with that.</p><br><p>I still don’t know who won. The grade six students are counting the votes and will announce the results tomorrow.</p><br><p>Also, Easter is coming. It’s when Jesus died and then rose again after three days. We don’t have school on Good Friday or Easter Monday — it’s a big holiday.</p><br><p>We use eggs to represent symbols from the Easter story. For example, a donkey symbolizes how Jesus went to Jerusalem. Kids decorate eggs and do egg hunts.</p><br><p>Some farms and parks even organize egg hunt activities for kids.</p><br><p>今天我要讲一下选举的事。我记得我之前好像说过，但万一没说过的话——我们正在进行一个学生选举。我记性很差，所以可能忘了讲。</p><br><p>事情是这样的：每个小组会被分配一个安省的政党。不是我们自己选，是从帽子里抽名字。我所在的小组抽到了进步保守党（PC）。</p><br><p>说实话，我觉得PC不会赢真正的选举，我觉得道格·福特会赢。</p><br><p>我们要制定政纲之类的东西。今天是大日子——正式的选举日，气氛很紧张，不管是对道格·福特，还是对我们小组来说。</p><br><p>所有政党都非常激动。我们组还在喊一些口号，比如“自由党是失败者！”或者“NDP要去尿尿！”我都不知道是谁想出来的。</p><br><p>我现在还不知道谁赢了，六年级的同学们正在计票，明天才会公布结果。</p><br><p>另外，复活节到了，复活节原于耶稣死后第三天的复活。 复活节是个大节日,学校会放两天假。老师会准备一些小东西放到彩蛋里,代表一个复活节故事。例如,老师拿一个小毛驴代表耶稣去耶路撒冷的故事。很多公园和农场都会为孩子组织这些活动。</p>
