<p>Welcome to the 14th episode of the YPO Networks Podcast!</p> <p>In this Episode, Anne Cheng, the Business Network Director at the construction industry at YPO sits down with Tim Draper.</p> <p>Tim Draper founded Draper Associates in July, 1985, which when joined by John Fisher and Steve Jurvetson became the venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson (now DFJ). Investments include Skype, Hotmail, Tesla, Baidu, Theranos, and Overture, among many others.&nbsp;</p> <p>He is the creator of viral marketing, a marketing method for spreading a software application from customer to customer, instrumental to the successes of Hotmail and Skype among hundreds of others including Gmail and Yahoo! Mail. He founded the DFJ/Draper Network, a global network of venture funds who work together to improve service to entrepreneurs, covering 30 cities around the world. He also founded Draper University in 2012 with a vision and belief that in order to change the world we have to change education. Draper University aims to teach entrepreneurship globally in an entirely new way. He has been listed as #46 of the most outstanding Harvard alumni, #7 on the Forbes Midas List, #1 Most Networked Venture Capitalist by Always On, and #98 on the 2014 Worth Magazine 100 Most Powerful People in Finance. <p>Welcome to the 13th episode of the YPO Networks Podcast!</p> <p>&nbsp;In this episode, Anne Cheng, the business network director of the consturction indsutry at ypo, sits down with John Jay Bowman.&nbsp;</p> <p>As a principal with FMI, Jay Bowman assists a broad range of stakeholders in the construction industry, from program managers and general contractors to specialty trades and materials producers, with the identification and assessment of the risks influencing the strategic and tactical decisions they face.</p> <p>&nbsp;In this role, Jay’s primary responsibilities include research design and interpretation, based on developing an understanding of the context within which these organizations operate.&nbsp;</p> <p>Publications to Jay’s credit include: FMI’s annual U.S. Markets Construction Overview, “Influencers in Construction,” “Assessing Your Alternatives: Should we expand the business?,” “Incorporating Customer Perceptions in Strategy Development” and “Conditions Ripe for Increased Use of Program Management.</p> <p>Jay earned his master of business administration degree from East Carolina University.
