Episode 82: A Birthday Party, Pilates & a Very Effective Parenting Threat 😂

This week on Bestie Boos, we’ve got celebrity chaos, parenting tactics and a Saturday morning plot twist we genuinely didn’t see coming. 😂 First up, Taylor Swift’s dress at the Academy Museum Gala has us asking: is ANYONE safe from a boob tube?! 💀 Plus, Miley Cyrus is back performing live, and we’re chatting about her rare Hollywood Bowl shows, her music and the rumours swirling around her. We’re diving into the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Kylie Jenner’s appearance, Jade from Little Mix and her Angel of My Dreams era, plus Dylan Sprouse and his wife Barbara. We also touch on Christina Applegate’s latest health update... wtf! lMeanwhile, Miller’s birthday party delivered an parenting win after Sarah and her mate came up with a very effective text involving an updated RSVP. Let’s just say the behaviour improved, and he made it to the party! 😂 Parenting: sometimes it’s all about the delivery. And then there’s Saturday morning… Sam and Sarah travelled across town for something new, something Sarah never thought she’d convince Sam to do. 👀 In What We’re Vibing, we’re talking Nobody Wants This — which we LOVED. The storyline was epic, and we have THOUGHTS. Plus, we chat about Be My Eyes, an app connecting blind and low-vision people with sighted volunteers for visual assistance. ❤️ Another week of pop culture, parenting wins, questionable decisions and bestie chaos. Welcome to the group chat. 🍋💕 _____________________ Bestie Boos is a New Zealand podcast hosted by best friends Sam Baxter and Sarah Direen. Sarah is sperm donor conceived and openly shares her experiences around donor conception, identity, family, motherhood and growing up as a donor child. Episode 81: We Took Bestie Boos OUT OF THE GROUP CHAT… And Sarah Forgot Her Age 😂

This week on Bestie Boos, Sarah has a moment that has her questioning whether her brain is actually keeping up with her age… 💀😂 Sam’s also been behind the mic at a recent MC gig, and naturally, we’ve got stories, mishaps and a few unexpected takeaways from the night. 🎤 Plus, we did something VERY exciting this week — taking Bestie Boos out of the group chat and into real life for our first-ever store appearance at Estilo, a gorgeous boutique fashion store in Lincoln! We got to meet some of you in person, have a proper yarn and see what happens when the group chat becomes IRL. ❤️ In pop culture, we’re chatting Kelly Clarkson, Selma Blair and Julia Stiles on Dancing with the Stars, with plenty of opinions and tangents along the way. And the Rugby League World Cup has arrived! The passion of the nations is coming out, and honestly, we LOVE to see it. 🏉 Another week of questionable life admin, pop culture chaos and bestie banter. You know the drill. 🍋💕 _________________ About Bestie Boos Podcast Bestie Boos is a New Zealand podcast hosted by best friends Sam Baxter and Sarah Direen. Episode 80: Sarah’s Dead Dog Meltdown, Sam’s Vegetable Obsession & Christa Pike Is BACK?! 💀😂

This week on Bestie Boos, the group chat is FULL. We’re kicking things off with a Kardashian intro (lol), then diving into the Playboy world, some wild revelations and whether the upcoming Playboy movie will romanticise Hugh Hefner and his infamous empire. Crystal Harris has some advice for Jessica Biel, but Holly reckons there’s plenty to look forward to?! 👀 We’re also talking Christa Pike — she’s awake and back in jail. UM, WTF?! Plus, Dakota Johnson reveals how Fifty Shades really played out, and photographer Tim Walker’s nude portrait of Harry Styles has us chatting about queer identity, community and love. Meanwhile, the school holidays have us asking the big question: are we actually surviving? 😂 And speaking of big questions, when is it socially acceptable to start celebrating Christmas? We need answers. We’re sharing what we’re vibing, from Morphe’s Complexion Boost Peptide Glow Serum to Clinique when you’re feeling a little boujee. We’re still as skincare-obsessed as ever. ✨ Sarah’s had a big week of birds paying her a visit, there’s been a dead dog meltdown, and Sam’s vegetable obsession has sparked a very important debate about what’s actually good versus what you just like eating. 🥦 We’re also doing a little homestead check-in to see how our homes are holding up. And with Cup Day, Olivia Dean at Western Springs, Halloween on a Saturday and an Estilo birthday event coming up, there’s plenty to look forward to. Another week, another very Bestie Boos chat. Welcome to the chaos. 🍋💕 _________________ About Bestie Boos Podcast Bestie Boos is a New Zealand podcast hosted by best friends Sam Baxter and Sarah Direen.
