I Went to the $50 MILLION Field at the Center of UMiami's Quiet Deal
<p>Fifty million dollars. Five and a half acres. I went to stand on the land the University of Miami is giving away in its 30-year deal with Coral Gables — and then walked up Ponce to the corridor where a hospital could rise on the other side of the trade. In this video: what the "Lee Lincoln Site" actually looks like, what the future Centennial Park deal really says (the easement and development-rights fine print nobody's reading), and why the Titanic Brewery strip might be the most important few blocks in UMiami's next 30 years. ⚠️ Important: the deal is NOT approved yet. It cleared the Development Review Committee June 26 and still needs the Planning & Zoning Board and a final City Commission vote. UM says no hospital is currently planned.
