On December 5th, 2008, 20-year-old Amanda Wienckowski was driven to a house on Spring Street in Buffalo, New York, for what was supposed to be a brief visit. She left her purse, makeup bag and phone charger behind because she expected to return later that evening. But Amanda never came back. Two days later, her mother, Leslie, began searching for her and eventually spent weeks watching the house where Amanda was last known to have gone. But what happened after Amanda entered that house (and the questions surrounding the investigation that followed) would begin a fight for answers her family is still carrying nearly two decades later...

The Unsolved Murder of Courtney Copeland
On March 4th, 2016, 22-year-old Courtney Copeland was driving through Chicago’s Northwest Side when he was shot in the back. Despite being critically wounded, Courtney somehow managed to keep driving, making his way toward the Chicago Police Department’s 25th District station near Grand and Central. When he reached the station, Courtney got the attention of an officer, told them he had been shot, and then collapsed. But what happened in the minutes before Courtney arrived at that police station would leave his family with questions they are still fighting to have answered more than ten years later...

Missing in the Midwest: The Disappearance of Emma Baum
25-year-old Emma Baum was nine months pregnant with her fourth child when she disappeared from Gary, Indiana on October 10th, 2024. Emma was last known to be near 25th Avenue and Connecticut Street, where she had gone to visit the father of her unborn child. But sometime after arriving in that area, Emma vanished — leaving behind a family searching not only for answers about what happened to her, but also what happened to the baby she was just days away from delivering. What followed would raise questions about Emma’s final known movements, the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, and a timeline that remains incomplete nearly two years later...
