So for me, bypass surgery became a metaphor of an incomplete approach that in a crisis, as we all know, drugs and surgery can be lifesaving, but we also need to treat the underlying causes. And when we do that, which are to a much larger degree than I had once realized, The lifestyle choices that we make, what we eat, how we respond to stress, how much exercise we get, how much love and support we have, eat well, move more, stress less, love more to reduce it to its essence. When we can do that, our bodies often have this remarkable capacity to begin healing and much more quickly than I had once realized. […]
