Reinvention, Resilience, and the Future of Biohacking

🎧 Forever Young Reinvention, Resilience, and the Future of Biohacking Dr. John Layke & Dr. Payman Danielpour with Scott Jackson This week on Forever Young, Dr. John Layke and Dr. Payman Danielpour sit down with entrepreneur, inventor, and visionary Scott Jackson for a conversation that spans failure, reinvention, and the future of longevity-driven hospitality. Scott’s story is anything but conventional. After building a successful company with over 100 employees and thousands of vendors, he lost everything in just 18 months. But instead of declaring bankruptcy, Scott chose a different path—rebuilding from the ground up with a new mindset and a radically different approach to business. That reinvention led him into the world of technology, where he personally developed patents in license plate recognition systems, eventually scaling a company that became the largest neural network of license plate recognition cameras in the world—and later exiting to Motorola. But Scott wasn’t finished. 💡 In This Episode From Collapse to Comeback Scott shares how losing everything became the defining turning point of his career—and why he views failure as the foundation of future success. The Power of Mindset A core belief that drives Scott: money is a thought. The discussion explores how mindset, resilience, and vision shape outcomes in both business and life. Building and Exiting a Global Tech Company Inside the creation of one of the most advanced license plate recognition networks ever built—and how Scott carved out a dominant position in a competitive tech landscape. The Next Frontier: Biohacking Hotels Scott introduces his latest venture, Endeavoring Capital, and his vision to build a network of biohacking-focused luxury hotels in cities like Aspen, Miami, and Los Angeles—designed to optimize health, longevity, and performance. The Future of Personalized Wellness From integrated blood testing to on-site surgical and wellness centers, Scott outlines a future where health optimization becomes seamless, data-driven, and lifestyle-integrated. Leadership, Risk, and Vision Why the most successful leaders are willing to take risks others don’t understand—and why staying true to your vision matters more than outside opinions. 👤 About the Guest Scott Jackson is an entrepreneur, inventor, and founder of Endeavoring Capital LLC, focused on advancing health, balance, and wellness through innovative hospitality and biohacking experiences. His work has been featured on national media outlets including Good Morning America, and he has been recognized in Top 100 Magazine. 🎧 Listen & Follow If you enjoyed this episode: ⭐ Leave Forever Young a five-star review 🎧 Follow the show so you never miss an episode 📲 Share this episode with someone interested in entrepreneurship, longevity, and the future of wellness Because building a longer, healthier life… Starts with the decisions you make today. Bill joins the show to discuss his new book Hotwired, which dives deep into the history, biology, and emerging research behind practices like saunas, hot baths, and other forms of therapeutic heat exposure. What was once considered simply a relaxing cultural tradition—particularly in countries like Finland and Japan—is now gaining serious attention from researchers studying cardiovascular health, metabolic function, and lifespan. In this episode, the conversation explores how something as simple as sitting in a hot room and sweating may trigger powerful biological responses that support overall health and longevity. The History of Heat TherapyBill explains how cultures around the world—from Finnish sauna traditions to Roman bathhouses—have long used heat for healing and social ritual. Why Heat Is So Powerful for the BodyDr. Layke and Dr. Danielpour break down the physiological effects of heat exposure, including increased circulation, cardiovascular conditioning, and cellular stress responses that may promote resilience and repair. The Longevity Research Behind SaunasThe group discusses the growing body of scientific research suggesting that regular sauna use may be associated with reduced risk of heart disease, improved metabolic health, and longer lifespan. Heat vs. Cold TherapyHow do practices like sauna compare with the current trend of cold plunges and ice baths? The discussion explores how both stressors may benefit the body in different ways. How Often Should You Use a Sauna?Practical guidance for people curious about incorporating heat therapy safely into their health routine. Reinvention, Resilience, and the Future of Biohacking

Published 24 Mar 2026 · Transcript excerpt

[…] We almost want to look at our brand, which is Affetto, which is... Italian for affection. And all of our people that are working inside the hotels and the centers will be aficionados. We want a FEDO to be a UL of house band. So whether it's in an existing hotel, it's a gym, whatever the examples I just said, a FEDO can be there. And by doing that, that is the quickest way to accelerate scale. And then we're going to acquire practices, and I can talk about that. And the plan now is to build in Scottsdale and in Florida a health span wellness type hotel that has everything you have in a hotel, but added to it everything else from longevity-based medicine to health and wellness and even plastic surgery.
